g-ray spectroscopy of core-excited states in 51Mn
نویسندگان
چکیده
The level scheme of 51Mn has been investigated using the 28Sis32S ,2a1pd51Mn fusion-evaporation reaction at 125 MeV beam energy. The g rays were detected in the Ge-detector array Gammasphere, which was coupled to the 4p-charged-particle detector Microball and the Neutron Shell for the coincident detection of evaporated particles. Over 100 new g-ray transitions connecting some 50 excited states have been identified. Most of the states are built on particle-hole excitations across the shell gaps at particle number N=Z=28. The rich experimental data allows for a comprehensive comparison of core-excited states with results from large-scale shellmodel calculations, which are known to provide excellent predictions for the lower-lying yrast and near-yrast levels in 1f7/2 nuclei.

Three-dimensional attosecond resonant stimulated X-ray Raman spectroscopy of electronic excitations in core-ionized glycine.
We investigate computationally the valence electronic excitations of the amino acid glycine prepared by a sudden nitrogen core ionization induced by an attosecond X-ray pump pulse. The created superposition of cationic excited states is probed by two-dimensional transient X-ray absorption and by three dimensional attosecond stimulated X-ray Raman signals. The latter, generated by applying a sec...

Two-dimensional x-ray correlation spectra (2DXCS) obtained by varying two delay periods in a time-resolved coherent all-x-ray four-wave-mixing measurement are simulated for the N 1s and O 1s transitions of aminophenol. The necessary valence and core-excited states are calculated using singly and doubly substituted Kohn-Sham determinants within the equivalent-core approximation. Sum-over-states ...

In order to reach a fundamental understanding of interactions between electromagnetic radiation and molecular materials, experimental measurements need to be supplemented with theoretical models and simulations. With the use of this combination, it is possible to characterize materials in terms of, e.g., chemical composition and molecular structure, as well as achieve time-resolution in studies...
متن کاملMicroscopic Parameters in the Excited State of Toluene and Some of Its Haloderavatives
The Ultraviolet-visible (UV) spectra of toluene, ortho-bromo and para-bromo toluene in different solvents have been studied. The electric dipole moments and polarizabilities in the molecular excited electronic states were determined. It was found that the electric dipole moments for the excited states (µ*) and the ground states (µ) of these compounds are equal, and the change in dipole moment i...
متن کاملCore excited states in the A=51 mirror nuclei
Three previously unknown high-energy g-ray transitions between 4.2 and 5.4 MeV were identified in the Tz=−1/2 nucleus Fe following the fusion-evaporation reaction SsSi,2a1nd51Fe. These transitions represent decays of core excited states. The g rays were detected in the Ge detector array Gammasphere combined with the neutron detector system Neutron Shell and the charged-particle array Microball....
